CSOC UT, Austin, Christian Students on Campus, UT, CSOC

Welcome

LONGHORN PARENTS

Welcome Longhorn parents! We’re so glad to have your student join us. We know that it can be daunting to send a child off to college. You’ve been raising them (and, chances are, praying for them) for eighteen years, and we know you want to see them grow and flourish in their next stage of life. At CSOC UT Austin, our goal is to see each student graduate stronger in their faith, with a thriving relationship with Christ and a loving community of Christian companions.

We’ve been involved with generations of UT students since 1973, and hundreds of students and parents can testify to the positive effect CSOC has had on their lives and families. We have always welcomed anyone interested in learning more about the Christian faith, regardless of their background. We hold the faith which is common to all believers, the specific points of which can be found on our “What We Believe” page.

Please visit our FAQ page for answers to common questions, or contact us at csocut@gmail.com for more specific questions or to reach out for fellowship!

What We Do

CSOC offers a wide variety of events, from weekly Bible studies and home groups to Solid Ground, our Thursday ministry series, to special events like seminars and retreats. Every event has the goal to deepen students’ personal relationship with God and increase their familiarity with His word, in order that each one would ultimately “come to the full knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:4). For more information on specific events, please feel free to explore our “GET INVOLVED” tab.

Our Goals in Working with Students

Just like every longhorn, we believe that what starts at UT changes the world. Our goal in working with students is that this change wouldn’t just be an advance in technology or academics, but would be an increase in the expression of the life of Jesus in our world. Students who have met with CSOC UT Austin during their college years have gone on to attend graduate and professional schools or join the workforce after graduation. While living their normal lives, however, they are taking time to pursue Christ, building upon the solid foundation that they gained during their time with Christian Students on Campus. This is our hope for every single student who meets with us!

Costs

All events with CSOC UT Austin are optional, and most are fully covered by CSOC at no cost to students. Only larger special events, such as the college conference held every semester, require a minimal donation to cover fees such as lodging, food, and a conference tee shirt. If this presents a financial burden to students, help may be available on a case by case basis.
