Community Groups with CSOC UT Austin

At Christian Students on Campus (CSOC UT Austin), we believe in creating meaningful connections that help you grow spiritually and personally during your college journey. Since it’s difficult to get to know 100 people at once, we organize ourselves into smaller Community Groups (also known as CGs) to ensure everyone has a place where they can feel comfortable and connect in meaningful ways.

What Are Community Groups?

Community Groups are the heart of CSOC UT Austin. These are subgroups of current UT students who meet up during the week to pursue Christ together. They may also include one or two alumni who give their time to serve with the club, offering a diverse mix of perspectives and experiences.

Why Join a Community Group?

College life can be overwhelming. Having a close-knit circle of friends who share your values helps make navigating campus life as a believer easier and more enjoyable. In CSOC Community Groups, you’ll find:

  • A sense of belonging among people you can rely on
  • Spiritual companions who support your spiritual growth
  • Practical help with classes and studying
  • Friends to “do life” with

When you need help, you can’t go to 100 people. But you can go to three or four. Your Community Group becomes your go-to circle within the larger CSOC family.

Student-Driven Community

While alumni may help coordinate Bible studies and other events, Community Groups are primarily student-driven. We encourage students to take ownership of their groups and shape them according to their needs and interests.
