On September 22, Christian Students on Campus members from the UT club as well as from sister clubs joined for the Fall Feast 2012. The Meade family hosted the brothers and sisters for the evening, providing dinner and offering their spacious home and gorgeously landscaped backyard for festivities.

Relaxing after a long week, we were blessed to lounge under the shade of the trees, watch our friends jump on the trampoline, and make ourselves at home on the roomy couches in the livingroom.  The brothers taught some of the sisters the rules of ladder golf, and others of us invented our own games out on the lawn, or simply sat on the white stone steps of the hill to quietly observe. We sat together to enjoy wonderful, homemade barbeque and steaming hot cake.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son.”  – Matthew 22.2

The Lord gathered us as one on a beautiful Saturday, and provided a loving setting for fellowship, feasting, and merriment. As we celebrated our coming together, Jesus, our bridegroom, rejoiced to see us, His love, basking in His presence. We experienced a feast that focused more on love than on worldly food – a teeny little preview of the ETERNAL feast that is to come – for when all of God’s people are wedded to Him, and we experience sweet, unbroken fellowship.
