Today, English speakers almost never worry about finding a Bible in their language. Instead, we spend time choosing between different translations. The Bible has become so commonplace that we may take it for granted, forgetting what a privilege it is to have The Book in our hands. But this was not always the case—there was a time when owning a Bible in English was both rare and dangerous.
In this presentation, we will explore why that was, what changed, and who made it possible for us to read the Bible freely today. Join us as we gain a deeper understanding of the Bible’s incredible journey into our hands and grow in our appreciation for God’s Word.
An open Q&A will follow—bring your questions!
Coffee and donuts will be provided.
