As the coronavirus continues to spread and impact our world, Christian Students on Campus (CSOC) wants to assure you that we are aware of the seriousness of these developments and are prayerfully responding in responsible ways.

Please keep up to date and follow all government and health official recommendations and/or mandates in the coming weeks and months, whether at the national, local, or university level. Obeying these governing authorities honors God and is a way of loving our neighbor as ourself, as taught by God’s word.

Let every person be subject to the authorities over him, for there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God. (Romans 13:1)

You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:31)

As of now, all official, in-person CSOC gatherings greater than 10 people are canceled, per City of Austin Executive Order.

This includes Solid Ground, large Bible studies, community group (CG) gatherings, and large home meetings. All other in-person gatherings must continue to follow CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and proper hygienic practices. However, the best practice at the current time is to avoid all unnecessary contact, as not all carriers of coronavirus exhibit symptoms. Remember, prudence is not panic.

We will continue to host Solid Ground and other meetings digitally. Also, to fill the gap during this season of physical separation, CSOC will increase our digital content and provide ways to connect with other members online.

Be sure to check out our app for current content as we have a large archive of previous material available. We will be hosting Solid Ground through Zoom, so make sure you have that downloaded as well.

We invite you to reach out to us so that we can shepherd and minister to you in the best way during this unique season.

In this situation, we would like to reaffirm our desire to know and gain Christ (Phil. 3:8-10), to build each other up (1 Thes. 5:11), to pray for all people (1 Tim. 2:1), and to advance the gospel (Phil. 1:12).

For more information visit the CDC’s website and monitor updates from the University of Texas at Austin.

We are committed to the total health of all our members and are praying for you daily.

Beloved, concerning all things I wish that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. (3 John 2)
