The long-awaited glimpse of Freshmen Connect 2013 is here, everyone!
On September 6, 2013, we gathered at our first checkpoint in Westlake Hills. Dinner was legit BBQ, but what’s better was the inspiring, burning story of Daniel and his three companions.
After dinner, we quickly traveled to a ranch in Blanco, Texas. Around the bonfire, we shared our precious testimonies with one another. Tears were shed but our hearts were warmed up. All glory goes to the Lord Jesus!
The next morning, we began our beautiful day by spending quiet time with the Lord.
Some UT alumni helped prepare breakfast for us and we got to connect more with our fellow freshmen, the upperclassmen, and the staff as well.
We then dove straight into the Bible. The topic of this message was Daniel as a man of prayer, of companions, of revelation, of character, a man of God and a man of preciousness. This part was special because each group had the opportunity to study and present a section of the message. Each one has!
After lunch and a short break, it was time for Bible-flipping game!
The messages on Daniel were solid, inspiring, and life-changing!
Before sunset, we quickly headed to the hilltop. We had a sweet, spirit-stirring worship, and more shared their testimonies of knowing the Lord and getting connected with other Christians at UT.
We also had a T-shirt design competition. The winning T-shirt would be our club’s T-shirt for this school year. We had a winner so stay tuned for the club’s T-shirt. :)
Finally, Freshmen Connect 2013 wouldn’t be this awesome and inspiring without the faithful, dedicated crew behind the scene. Thank you all for your labor in love! Praise the Lord!
