The book of Philippians is a letter that Paul wrote from prison to a church he had planted in the city of Philippi. Although it is a short letter and can be read in less than 10 minuets, it covers some of the deepest truths of the Christian faith and will take you a life-time to experience. In other letters, Paul, like a professor, discusses the great doctrines of the Christian faith, but in Philippians Paul, like an artist, paints in vivid hues the experience of the Christian life, which is nothing other than the experience of Christ Himself. It is a book brimming with joy, calling us to magnify Christ, to think like Christ, to pursue Christ, and do all things in Christ.
